Inflight over Tokyo

Klas is getting our rental car. He’s the one who will be driving on the left side, big ups

First place to stay, a tiny place with rooms out of plywood

Welcome to Japan. Klas is taking a moment to reflect before dropping in

Fresh pow under the lift

On a pillow

Adjusting the jacket arm so the snow won’t come in

Two stoked swedes in a snowy chairlift in Rusustsu

Back to the car with heavy legs and snow stuck all over

For the first eight days, it snowed constant. Fresh snow every morning and no tracks. That’s totally unimaginably. For us at least.

Interesting light appearance in the clouds. Rusutsu night skiing to the left and night sky to the right

Met up with people from were I worked before the season started. Hiking up to Mt Shiribetsu

Klas preparing his own made Extrem Opinion 118 skis before skinning

Really excited making this walk up on Mt Shiribetsu

A beautiful place on earth were I’d like to spend a lot of time skiing

A long and powderful run ahead

A satisfied crew after we’d been surfing down Mt Shiribetsu

In the clouds

Last run of the day, snowing loads

Ringing the clock for powder

Beside the main street to Rusutsu

Shoveling the car, big time

Preparations, and a carousel in the back

Hollywood cliff in Rusutsu

Powder night skiing, wow

Matching colours

On the way to next location: Niseko, after a good start in Rusutsu.

In Niseko, the off piste runs are marked and you’re entering by passing through a gate. Here’s Klas leading the way to a gate

Mt Yotei, a skiable volcano. Definitely a must do some time. Pretty cool to have skied a volcano

Apparently the place we were staying at was next doors to some Swedish friends of mine. We met up and shared some good locations

A one chaired, chair lift

Onigiri, a perfect Japanese meal for skiing. The first ones was good but after eating it for days, those cold balls of rice wrapped in seagrass wasn’t really the same. Still perfect to bring

Max entered Niseko and Japan like: Full Send!

Left turn, deep snow - Niseko

This is just amazing. Exactly like mushroom

Max going through some trees

Right turn and bamboo

Walking to the slope in early morning, Niseko Annupuri

Whiteout and windy

Dream coming a reality skiing these Japanese snow racks. First time I saw this was when MSP dropped their movie superheroes of stoke in 2012. Ever since, it has been on my todo-list .

Next up: Sapporo, the fifth largest city of Hokkaido

Hello Sapporo

Discussing how to get as much as possible out of the remaining Japanese cash. Happy hour and drinks

A old but youthful tram, Sappor

Sapporo ski resort with a view over the city itself

To the top

Discussing line

In what was planned to be the last run of the trip, I skied into this hidden part of an old windlip and got a fracture in my right foot

Waiting for the car to appear in this car hotel. Last day before leaving or Europe. Unfortunately I crashed by hitting a large block of snow underneath the surface. I really struggled travelling back to La Grave and later on I got the news I had a fracture

Me rolling in to gate at Tokyo Haneda airport
